Thanks

I want to send out a big Thank You to everybody who has called, emailed, sent donations and just expressed their feelings and thoughts about the destruction of the library.  Support from the publishing and library community continues to pour in and I am continually amazed at the generosity of people. I love hearing from people so please feel free to call me at the number on the home page if you have any questions. "Thanks" just doesn't seem to be enough. More...

Fire

It is with sadness and shock that I  write this post.  As of Sunday, May 15, our beautiful new library has burned to the ground. Watching the news footage of the library in flames was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to watch.  All the hard work and effort by so many people to bring the new library to the community destroyed in minutes. All of the library staff  and board are safe and sound however, which is the most important thing. Right now we don't... More...

Thank you

A great big thank you to all of our volunteers who made the Night of Chocolate Bliss fundraiser such a huge success.  We raised enough money to buy some furniture for the lounge area so now you can come enjoy a coffee and read a magazine in comfort.  Our volunteers are the best.

Library Fundraiser

Only 5 more days until the Night of Chocolate Bliss.  Many volunteers and library staff have spent a lot of time organizing this fresh new event. I invite you to come down to the library and purchase a ticket.  For only $20 you get a great evening of musical entertainment, lots of chocolate delectables to sample, and a chance to take home some decadent chocolate desserts. See you at the library.

Quilt Exhibit

The ladies from "Patchwork Fabrics," the quilt shop in town, have graciously lent us some of their beautiful quilts for display.  Come down to the library and check out these gorgous works-of-art.

Youth nite was great!

Friday night was youth nite and I just wanted to say a big thank-you to Lisa.  She came and taught the kids how to make balloon animals and it was a big hit.  (Next time we'll get balloons that don't pop quite so easily) Nacho's and ice cream sundaes were also enjoyed by all and we had some interesting games of Twister.  So thanks to all who participated and I hope to see you next month.  Be sure to check the website for pictures!

Adopt A Magazine

We are looking for library members who would like to support the Library by "Adopting" a yearly magazine subscription.  In recognition of the "adoption", the donor's name will be displayed on the cover of the magazine. You can pick a magazine that we currently subscribe to, or suggest a new one. For more information just ask at the circulation desk.
