I want to send out a big Thank You to everybody who has called, emailed, sent donations and just expressed their feelings and thoughts about the destruction of the library. Support from the publishing and library community continues to pour in and I am continually amazed at the generosity of people. I love hearing from people so please feel free to call me at the number on the home page if you have any questions. "Thanks" just doesn't seem to be enough.

I had just recently moved to Slave Lake and had just finally checked out the library on Saturday May 14th. My children and I were familiar faces at the High Prairie Library and was very pleased about the Slave Lake library and we couldn't wait to get our membership and envisioning the many hours that we'd be spending at the library. I was there when the roof top was aflame and was saddened as I heard from many how proud the community was of the library. As I looked to my right I seen my church still standing and hoped that it would survive the fire. We found out later it didn't. The church and the library were focal point of our lives. I am looking forward to the new library as there will be one and I am looking forward to helping in any way I can. I am an avid reader and make sure I keep them like new so that I could donate them to other avid readers.
