Zoom - open to anyone in the Lesser Slave Lake region.

Put on by Rural Mental Health Network animators from Slave Lake and High Prairie, Slave Lake and Area Mental Health Network, and the Rotary Club of Slave Lake Public Library.

The Human Library has people instead of books. Readers come to borrow a person. The ‘human books’ tell a bit about their lives, which sparks a conversation. The idea is to have an intentional conversation, with someone you otherwise might not have met.

We’ll be focusing on ‘healthy connections and positive activities’, which is the 2022 theme for the Slave Lake and Area Mental Health Network. Volunteers come prepared to tell a story about how you have built or maintained a healthy connection with people, animals, nature, etc. And/or what are some positive activities you do to improve your overall sense of wellbeing.

Leading up to the event, stay tuned for some information about some of the 'human books' on the Slave Lake and Area Mental Health Network and Library's Facebook pages.
